A performance report is a crucial variance analysis business tool that shows a digital compilation of analysis, forecasts, revenue, and budget to assist a business have an overview of how it is performing. This tool usually uses future graphical elements such as graphs, statistics, tables, and charts to provide visual balance with a report based on text. The users of performance reports use them to compare business performances and results against the baseline. Different organizations use different types of performance reports. The most common performance reports include forecasting, status, progress, variance, trend, and earned value.
Consider your current company, or a company that you have previously worked for, and describe and critique the performance reporting that is used by that organization. If you do not have relevant work experience, use the GCU Library to locate an article on variance analysis or performance reports and compare the process recommended by the article to that of the textbook.
