You are working in a busy OB-GYN office on prn1831 principles of maternal health infographic. After being seen by the provider, the moms all receive discharge teaching from the RNs. You, as the LPN, do a great job of reinforcing the discharge teaching before each client leaves the office. However, the follow up call rate from moms asking questions about their discharge instructions remains high.

The health care team does some brainstorming to come up with ideas that will help the moms understand and remember their instructions after leaving the office. One of the new ideas is to create infographics for each of the three trimesters. Infographics are a great way to provide a visual interpretation of the written instructions. The team feels like having a picture such as an infographic will help moms understand, and also give them something they can hang up in their homes as a reminder.

You have volunteered to create these infographics. The following list identifies what the team has asked you to provide:

Content:

Create an infographic containing discharge instructions for any one of the three trimesters (please clearly define which of the three trimesters you have chosen).

The infographic content should include:

  1. The following information related to one trimester of your choosing
  2. Common Symptoms & Treatments
  3. Complications and appropriate interventions or actions
  4. Nutritional and Physical Needs
  5. Cultural Considerations
  6. Design elements such as headers and images that clarify content
  7. Community resources for the patient
  8. Reference list for any sources used for the creation of the infographic
  • Standard American English (correct grammar, punctuation, etc.)
  • Logical, original and insightful
  • Professional organization, style, and mechanics in APA format
  • Submit document through Grammarly to correct errors before submission
