Code of Ethics is a vital aspect of every organization. The company code of ethics plays a crucial role in enabling individuals in an organization to differentiate what is right and wrong. Identifying right and wrong enables individuals to make informed decisions in different areas of their work. XYZ is guided by a code of ethics that guides the employees in their operations. The code of ethics has ten elements that guarantee ethical behavior among all employees. They include:

-Respect for others- All employees in the company are expected to treat each other with respect; this includes treating other employees the same way one would want to be treated.

-Integrity and honesty- All employees working at XYZ company are obliged to remain honest and have strong moral principles. Employees are always expected to tell the truth and avoid any wrongdoing to the best of their ability.

-Justice- All employees should remain objective in their operations and be fair to all people by treating them in a manner that does not disadvantage anyone.

-Lawfulness- The company obliges all employees to understand the set laws and follow them accordingly (Remišová, Lašáková & Kirchmayer, 2019).

-Teamwork- All employees are expected to collaborate and work closely together with others in the organization.

-Competence- Employees are expected to carry out their duties with a lot of efficiency by giving their all to their roles, therefore contributing to increased company productivity

Begin by preparing a Code of Ethics for a fictional company which should include at minimum ten elements. Include an introductory paragraph to present your company’s code of ethics. You may use bullet points or headings for your ten elements, but be sure to use complete sentences, and provide citations as necessary. Be sure each element clearly addresses employee behavior and what the company expects.

Once you have compiled the Code of Ethics, respond to the following questions:

  1. Why did you include each of the ten elements?
  2. Why is a Code of Ethics an important part of every business from an employer standpoint?
  3. Why is a Code of Ethics an important part of every business from an employee standpoint?
  4. Once you have written the Code of Ethics, how would you implement to ensure compliance?

Your completed assignment should be a minimum of three double-spaced pages (one page for the Code of Ethics and one page for question responses). Please use a minimum of two credible sources from the CSU Online Library to support your reasoning. Referenced sources must have accompanying citations complying with APA guidelines.
